KAITGRACE the Brand
Kait’s first step inside a bridal couture workroom felt unmatched. The craft was right there — visible, honest, intricate and patient. Fabric handled with real knowledge by skilled hands and hours given to a single detail. An entire world that’s often only visible in books, documentaries, runway collections and the women who choose couture for their wedding day.
Over the following decade, Kait worked across bridal houses in Melbourne and Brisbane — as a senior stylist, seamstress, workroom manager and designer. She had access to every part of the process from fabric viewings, the cutting room floor, bridal fittings and runways. An all-inclusive front-row seat to everything the industry doesn't often show you.
In her opinion, the most personal garment a woman will ever wear is treated, too often, like any other retail decision. Kait loved the craft — the old-world knowledge and skills passed down through different hands — but she felt that experience was often lost on the showroom floor for the brides themselves.
KAITGRACE opened in Paddington, Brisbane, 2025 — as an open atelier where the craft is visible and the process is entirely unhurried. Kait accepts only a small number of brides each year, working directly with each woman personally from first consultation through to final fitting.
KAITGRACE is not for every bride.
